Objective
Partners in Presence was the brand and moniker of the collaborative relationship between myself, Brian Swichkow, and Chantle Edillor. The name originated from the Future Wife Podcast, a project created with the intention of manifesting my future partner, which Chantle ultimately became. Their partnership was rooted in the Symposium community, where she was first introduced and later became my co-host. Four months after we met, we co-created the Future Self Party to celebrate Chantle's birthday, marking our first original collaboration. So too did Partners in Presence function as a thematic framework and guiding identity for our joint creative ventures, including an unpublished podcast recorded for our future selves. These episodes were preserved in a virtual venue and relationship museum hosted at topia.io/present. Their public collaborations began in September 2019, with significant milestones such as hosting Symposium gatherings, developing creative events, and building an online presence around the Partners in Presence name. On January 21, 2025, the project and its associated activities transitioned to a new phase, becoming Partners out of Presence.
'Partners in Presence' was a moniker for the relationship of Brian Swichkow and Chantle Edillor, a name that emerged from the Future Wife Podcast which I, Brian, created to manifest my future wife which she, Chantle, became.
Where I'd started Symposium and hosted it bi-weekly for over a year, she was introduced to me by that community and within that space—only to later become my co-host. Later, when dating, we co-created the Future Self Party to celebrate her birthday party—our first co-creation from scratch. The moniker was also the linguistic container, energetic guide for our Play Full existence, and our pandimensional podcast.
We were introduced at Symposium in September 2019 by a mutual friend and member of the community. Before we realized it, we were co-hosting the gathering biweekly. We expanded our canvas that January and, to celebrate Chantle's birthday, co-created/hosted Future Self Party.
The name 'Partners in Presence' came to us as a play on my Future Wife Podcast and we began recording each episode for an audience of our future selves. To avoid this practice from becoming a performance, our podcast is not published. Instead, episodes are placed—sometimes hidden—as museum exhibitions in our virtual venue and relationship museum, topia.io/present.
As of January 21, 2025, Partners in Presence became Partners out of Presence.
Contexts
We met at Symposium after Chantle was invited by Neil Deramchi who, when we told her we were engaged, said: "I just invited her to Symposium and didn't even feel like I had to make an effort to push you two together because it was obvious it would happen."
We co-created, co-produced, and co-hosted Future Self Party for Chantle's birthday and played future versions of ourselves along with 100+ friends and 30,000 sq. ft. of our art.
We started co-hosting Symposium two weeks into our relationship and didn't realize it for the first few months. We now co-host it under the Partners in Presence moniker. So too did we purchase partnersinpresence.com (redirects here) for the #museum-of-domains.
We celebrated our engagement at Pandemic Picnic and will be married on 11/11/2020.
