Hey @Legend, "Be careful what you wish for, you may receive it." ~ W. W. Jacobs, author of @The Monkey's Paw In @The Monkey's Paw is a supernatural short story in which three wishes are granted to the owner of a dried, shrunken monkey’s paw, but the wishes come with an enormous price for interfering with fate. The story also inspired a @subreddit by the same name, r/TheMonkeysPaw, where wishes are submitted and dismantled in a similar fashion. Affirmations aren't wishes, but the lesson of The Monkey's Paw should be heeded all the same. Be careful what you affirm, it just might manifest. Some of you know of my "I am attracting the perfect partners into my life" affirmation; appropriated from @The Bro and later pluralized. I'd added the 's' thinking that I'd @manifest a life partner and business partners. The latter manifested first and seemed to confirm its power. Thus, I continued to affirm it daily—with strong intention—as a part of @My Boot Sequence. Recently, a flirty encounter prompted a moment of reflection. I realized that in the span of a week, I had been flirted with, or propositioned by, three different couples. As quickly as I'd realized this trend, I understood where it originated. My affirmation had manifested exactly as stated, but not as intended. I've since removed the pluralized sticky note from my mirror and framed it as a gift for @John Zdanowski, the partner it manifested. I've now rewritten my sticky without the 's' to channel the energy into manifesting my Future Wife. If you'd like a perspective on your affirmation before committing your energy to manifest that reality, feel free to share. I'll happily be your Mantra's Paw. @Build cool shit and change the world. @Brian Swichkow, Chief @Manifestor at @One Inc Let's @Elevate The Human Frequency, join the @The Journey To One.
