Mythos

A Manifestor, as defined by @The Human Design System (HDS), is a person who is able to successfully initiate actions and conversations without needing to respond or be invited. [1] A Manifestor's "not here to be controlled by anyone" energy can be intimidating to others. So as to diffuse this fear and resistance, their most effective strategy is to inform people around them of what they plan to do and allowing those who are so inclined to follow their lead. [1] Since Manifestors can initiate, people—often including the Manifestor—think they are in charge and responsible for what is happening. They are not. Life moves on with or without them. Just because Manifestors can start things, does not mean they can control them. [1] Most Americans are raised and conditioned to be Manifestors, but few have the Design to be one. Trying to force things to happen causes frustration, pain, and unhappiness. As @Alan Watts put it,

[Children are] told to do all sorts of things that are supposed to happen—like going to sleep, like having bowel movements, loving people, not blushing, and stopping being anxious. [2]

While the HDS is ethereal in its lack of materialist substance, I have appreciated, and find resonance within, their portrayals of character types. I was introduced to HDA by @Carla Torres in December 2018 and have found it helpful in reconciling past relationships and guiding future ones. The HDS came to me when @The Journey To One was just starting to take form. It inspired my title of 'Manifestor at @MythOS' and, later, the naming of the @Manifestor's Log; a chronicling of my daily activities, @By and Large, based upon @The Bullet Journal Method.
