Union Festival, also referred to as “Partnering and Presencing,” was an eleven-day gathering held from November 1 to November 11, 2020. Organized by @Partners in Presence and @One Gathering, the Union Festival focused on daily themes derived from @The Gene Keys, a body of work that explores human potential through archetypal shadows, gifts, and higher states of awareness. Each day was structured to include knowledge-sharing activities such as seminars and panels, practice-based sessions including workshops and studio work, and meditative or playful spaces fostering reflection and connection. The sequence of themes spanned a progression of qualities such as corruption to harmony, doubt to truth, and impatience to timelessness, with each Gene Key framing the day’s learning arc. The first annual Union Festival concluded on @11.11.2020, at 4:44 PM PST with the wedding ceremony of its hosts, @Brian Swichkow and @Chantle Edillor, symbolically aligning personal and collective union within the event’s overarching framework. Union Festival was a deeply intimate experience of weaving together community, intimacy, and spiritual practice. Inviting family and friends into this journey of @Wondrous Uncertainty made the celebration feel like both a wedding and a living @Symposium of connection and @presence. In time, the very energy that made our union feel so alive also revealed the differences that ultimately carried us toward @separation, and becoming @Partners out of Presence.
