Sweat Yoga, or Sweat, is a hot yoga studio with locations in Los Angeles and New York City. Sweat offers an athletic style of yoga with shorter classes and creative playlists that reflect each teacher’s determination to keep it interesting, current and well choreographed. [1] Sweat classes are heated, most to about 100 degrees. The heat isn’t suffocating, yet certainly noticeable. They use the same air scrubbers as NASA to nix the typical hot yoga smell and keep the facility impeccably clean.
I currently have an 'Unlimited Membership' at the Santa Monica location and take classes three days a week. Aside from the convenience of being next to my occasional office, Spaces, I appreciate the mirrorless, dark environment of their studio. Yancy Schwartz is my favorite teacher as he instructs with sanskrit words, anatomical terms, and plain language all at once. He has an epic playlist and an overall beautiful way of keeping over-active thinkers (like me) in flow.
