After going through my 2022 Compass Year In Review - I came to the conclusion that my word for this year was going to be "Create". This is my first stab at coming up with a process to stay accountable.
Content Creation
Overcome my allergy to content creation and explore/experiment with posting more regularly. Should not be driven by likes, but rather by experimentation.
System -> Create “film-ready corners” at home, and in studio.
Output -> At least one video a week.
Success -> Finding ease in content creation.
Biomaterials
Learn about biomaterials, find allies to experiment with, and co-create prototypes to learn about the intersection of art, design and technology.
System -> Find individuals and courses online - track which ones you’ve signed up for and who you’ve spoken with.
Output -> Enroll to at least one workshop a month. Engage at least three individuals with knowledge on bio-materials a month.
Success -> Acquiring practical hands on knowledge, build network within biomaterials, and have prototypes to show for.
Fine Art Creation
I need to transition from the commercial market into the fine-art market to find more financial opportunities for patronage.
System -> Source one new/interesting material a month on which I can experiment, explore and learn.
Output -> 10 art prototypes before the end of the year. Separate website tab to highlight these experiments.
Success -> 1 major art show. 1 patron. 1 art grant.
Knowledge Graph
Continue my daily writing practice in a way that builds my personal knowledge graph with the intention of making it AI-ready.
System -> Daily writing practice continued on Mythos
Output -> 300 new Mythos articles by the end of the year.
Success -> Better accumulation and retention of knowledge. Increased understanding of AI systems. Read more, learn more.
