Where I’m from: Grew up a little bit of everywhere between Los Angeles, Manila, San Francisco, and London. I was based in NYC but travelled for work 4-5 months out of the year. Moved abroad full time, and I was in Colombia and Brazil before COVID-19 hit. :airplane:
Where I am now: Currently riding out the pandemic in SF, but hoping to be heading to Cape Town post summer if it's safe to travel again since normally I'm in a new city, new country every 4-8 weeks :bridge_at_night:
What I did before: Still recovering from past life in corporate at creative ad agencies BBDO and Ogilvy in NYC, but loved the foundation I got there working with global teams and fell in love with production and strategy. I helped found a global artist collective and non-profit back in 2014 and fell into event production and helped build communities around the world when I wasn't at the office. At the end of Dec 2017 I said yes to taking a leap of faith and flew to Dubai to douse the city and people in confetti with my friend who founded The Confetti Project as her producer and I haven't looked back since. :tada:
What I do: I play in the intersection of all things art/music, science, and tech. Co-Founder and Exec Producer for creative experiential production studio Creative Surrender Studios with @Sri Sritha Thayi where we've led passion sprint workshops, art and writing circles, and invited people to adventure with us on bespoke experiences that sometimes involve singing and dancing in public to get out of our heads, tackle our fears, and get out of whatever rut - creative or otherwise - we might be in. One of my most recent projects involved pivoting my bday benefit concert in Brazil into a global 24-hour festival called Namastay At Home Festival that showcased 44 artists from 13+ countries to support local and international organizations helping those affected by COVID-19. One of my other main projects for the year is working as a Trip Leader for Hacker Paradise, producing events and content for a community of remote workers and travel addicts. All in all, I produce events, retreats, festivals, short films, and more for global communities of creatives, entrepreneurs, and remote workers. Occasionally I still consult on brand strategy, social media production, and global ad campaigns and often shoot photos and videos on the go. :art::notes::movie_camera:
What I also do: I’m an artist :frame_with_picture:, spoken word poet :pencil2:, addicted to boxing :boxing_glove:, love dancing (hip hop, ballroom, contemporary) :dancers:, I'm currently editing my first non-fiction book :books:, and I can usually be found chasing golden hour with a camera (I've been told I'm "the best IG boyfriend" if you're in need of some new pics for your LinkedIn, dating profile, or IG) :kissing_heart::camera_with_flash:.
Fun fact(s): I'm 90% tea :tea:, my British accent from childhood comes out when I drink :flag-gb:, and I've danced through the humidity of Singapore in a red panda onesie at sunrise for a music video :sunny:
