Objective
Peter Thiel is an #entrepreneur, #venture-capitalist, and #author known for his influential role in Silicon Valley. He co-founded PayPal in 2000 alongside Elon Musk, with the company later acquired by eBay for $1.5 billion in 2002. Thiel was the first outside investor in Facebook, purchasing a 10.2% stake for $500,000 in 2004; he sold most of his shares in 2012 for over $1 billion but retained a seat on the board.
