Rene Jones is Partner and Global Head of Social Impact for United Talent Agency (UTA) and Global Ambassador for Vital Voices Global Partnership. As the founding director of the UTA Foundation, the philanthropic arm of the international media, talent, and literary agency, Jones has guided the company’s charitable and volunteer opportunities since 2004. She also provides strategic philanthropic guidance for clients, executives, and corporate clients. Jones is also head of enrichment for the agency and has created signature programming such as Project Impact, UTA Mentoring, Extreme School Makeovers in Central America, and UTA University. [2]
Prior to launching the UTA Foundation, Jones began her career in the U.S. Senate, continuing on to become finance director and consultant for many high-profile political campaigns. She then entered the non-profit sector where her experience included serving as development director for several national organizations. In her current capacity, Jones advises global, national, and local organizations on best practices for effective entertainment industry engagement. She has also traveled with clients and NGOs to Africa, Central America, Haiti, and South America to bring awareness to global causes such as clean water, education, affordable housing, malaria, micro-financing, and women’s issues. Her community involvement includes serving on the boards of Healthy Child Healthy World and Los Angeles River Revitalization Corp. and is a USC Marshall Society and Business Lab Senior Fellow.
Jones currently resides in Los Angeles with her husband Roy, son Chase, and daughter Vivienne. [3]
